PictureNext iPhone release?
There is an overwhelming amount of interest and speculation about Apple's next iPhone release. However, the latest iPhone rumors indicate that customers will be forced to wait until 2014 for the major changes. The present information appears to be that the new Apple iPhone will be a 5S model, which is an update to the current iPhone 5. In all likelihood, the big changes will come in 2014, with the new iPhone release of the iPhone 6.

Names aside, there is much to indicate that Apple requires something completely new, because the iPhone 5 was not greeted with the acclaim of the previous new iPhone release. This was due to the issues with Apple Maps and the hardware. With competing brands, like the S4 Samsung Galaxy, there is little doubt that Apple will have to raise its' game and deliver a totally new iPhone.

As ever, it is difficult to determine the next iPhone release date, due to the conflicting information being circulated. Originally, the confusion lay over whether the next iPhone was going to be the 6 or the 5S. With that apparently settled, this year seems to be too soon for the iPhone 6, as the iPhone 5S has been earmarked for the next release.

All the latest information suggests that the new iPhone release date for the iPhone 6 will be during 2014. Peter Misek, the Jeffries analyst, sent a message to investors saying that he thought the iPhone 6 would launch in June of 2014. Based on when you think the iPhone 5S will launch, the date for the iPhone 6 is approximately 6 to 9 months later. The Financial Post quotes Misek as saying that the Apple supply chain is geared up for the iPhone 5S, and that it will take at least 6 to 9 months before the iPhone 6 will launch. By and large, this is all the information available, but it does seem to be plausible.

There was some doubt cast over this, after a claimed Vodafone worker sent Stuff Magazine a photo of the firm's internal systems. The photo displayed the phrase: "4G iPhone 6", but the remainder of the photo was blurred out. Thus, that might mean that Apple's next iPhone will simply be named iPhone 6, as opposed to iPhone 5S. Or, because the iPhone 5S is actually the sixth iPhone model to be released, it might just be an internal stock system reference. As ever, the general theory is that if a photo from a spy is short on specifics and badly blurred, there is a good chance it is inaccurate.

Generally, Apple launches its' new models for the same price as their old models. Indeed, it is hard to imagine they will introduce a more costly phone into this competitive market. If this holds true then, assuming the 16 GB model gets dropped, you should expect the 32 GB model to be priced at £529.00, the 64 GB model at £599.00, and the 128 GB model at £699.00.
